Qualifications Required;

  • Batchelors Degree in relevant field and or 3–5 years of experience in program coordination or project management, ideally in the creative enterprise or non-profit sectors.
  • Experience working with artisans, designers, or creative entrepreneurs is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace & Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello) is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communities.
  • Knowledge of cultural heritage, sustainable development, or craft/fashion industries is an advantage.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Artisan Marketplace & Fashion Program Officeris a proactive and organised individual tasked with coordinating development initiatives for artisans and designers, focusing on project implementation and cross-department collaboration to achieve program goals. This role involves coordinating artisan and fashion projects at the festivals, client relations, and supporting capacity-building activities to empower small and medium enterprises.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project implementation, key account management, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration, and ensuring timely delivery of program goals.

Working with a supportive and highly motivated team in a fast-paced environment, the officer will play a pivotal role in coordinating development projects and activities that support the festivals’ marketplace requirements and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning, execution, and monitoring of development programs aimed at empowering small & medium enterprises.
  • Manage key departmental accounts and client relations.
  • Manage program documentation including project timelines, communications, reports, and deliverables.
  • Support capacity-building activities such as workshops, training sessions, and mentorship programs.
  • Monitor project outcomes and gather impact data for reporting and improvement.
  • Collaborate with various department teams to ensure effective and timely completion of activities.
  • Assist in proposal development and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist in preparing partner contracts and ensure deliverables are met
  • Support operational rollout of marketplace and activations at Luju and Bushfire Festivals.
  • Manage inter-department communications including; budgeting, communications and HR requirements
  • Prepare TOR, tasks and monitor activities of fashion and marketplace assistants
  • Ensure program activities align with departmental goals and requirements
