House on Fire is looking for a highly organised, proactive and people-oriented Activations & Signage Assistant HOD to join our Sales & Marketing team and support the delivery of MTN Bushfire and Standard Bank Luju, two of Eswatini’s leading festival experiences.

This is a dynamic role suited to someone who is administratively strong, highly organised, detail-oriented and confident working with people. The successful candidate will play an important role in coordinating sponsor and partner activations, managing festival signage, and ensuring that partner commitments are delivered professionally and on time.

You will work closely with sponsors, partners, suppliers and internal departments, helping to turn agreed partnership deliverables into well-executed festival experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Sponsor & Partner Activations

  • Coordinate sponsor and partner activations from planning through to execution.
  • Liaise with sponsors, partners and internal departments to ensure activation requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
  • Support the development of activation concepts and programmes aligned with partner objectives.
  • Coordinate pre-event sponsor campaigns and activation-related communications.
  • Work closely with the Communications team to coordinate activation-related content and social media.
  • Maintain and distribute comprehensive activation schedules and requirements to relevant departments.

Administration & Operational Coordination 

  • Maintain accurate activation records, schedules, budgets and supporting documentation.
  • Track activation-related budgets, invoices and supplier requirements.
  • Compile sponsor equipment lists for logistics and border clearance.
  • Prepare accreditation lists for activation staff and partner teams.
  • Coordinate the allocation and issuing of trader and access tickets for sponsors and partners.
  • Ensure activation requirements are completed within agreed deadlines.

Partner Value & Reporting 

  • Assist in ensuring all sponsor and partner deliverables are successfully fulfilled.
  • Compile post-event activation reports for sponsors and partners.
  • Collect and report on digital campaign performance, including reach, impressions and engagement.
  • Assist with media activities, including radio and television interviews, where required.
  • Maintain accurate records and supporting evidence of activation delivery.

Festival Signage 

  • Assist in developing and maintaining the master festival signage plan.
  • Coordinate signage requirements, production orders and timelines with printers and suppliers.
  • Work closely with the Production team to ensure signage is installed correctly and on time.
  • Liaise with the Graphics team on signage layouts, specifications and the festival signage map.
  • Ensure sponsor and partner branding is implemented in accordance with approved brand guidelines.
  • Maintain a detailed signage inventory before, during and after each festival.

Post-Event Evaluation 

  • Contribute to post-event reviews and postmortem reports covering activations and signage.
  • Identify challenges, successes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide recommendations to strengthen future sponsor and partner delivery.

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced festival environment, with strong attention to detail and excellent people skills.

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to confidently liaise with sponsors, partners, suppliers and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Good planning, coordination and follow-through skills.
  • The ability to maintain accurate records and manage administrative processes.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach to challenges.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Confidence working under pressure and during busy festival periods.
  • A professional and positive approach when dealing with stakeholders.
  • An interest in events, festivals, marketing, sponsorship and brand activations is advantageous.
  • Experience in events, marketing, sponsorship, activations or a similar environment will be an advantage.

Success in this role will be measured through:

  • Effective and timely delivery of confirmed sponsor and partner activations.
  • Activation requirements being completed and submitted within agreed deadlines.
  • Accurate administration and budget tracking.
  • Timely and accurate coordination of sponsor and partner tickets, accreditation and equipment requirements.
  • Accurate and timely implementation of festival signage.
  • Compliance with sponsor and partner branding guidelines.
  • Timely delivery of sponsor activation and campaign reports.
  • Positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

WORKING AT MTN BUSHFIRE & STANDARD BANK LUJU 

This role offers the opportunity to work across two of Eswatini’s leading festival brands, engaging with a diverse network of international and local sponsors, partners, artists, suppliers and festival teams.

The successful candidate will become an important link between the Sales & Marketing team and the wider festival operation, helping ensure that our partners receive a professional, well-coordinated and high-quality festival experience.
